I’ve had a few questions with regards to the CrossFit Basics. You MUST complete 12-1hr group sessions or 6-1hr one-on-one sessions, before you start doing the daily CrossFit WODS (Workout of the Day). I would perfer that you complete this in 4 weeks which means 3x a week. You can see the full schedule on our site www.crossfitmozomo.com. If you’re only able to do it twice one week and 3x times the next week and have to do different times due to your work scheduling, that’s fine too. That’s why I’ve made the Basics class available at different times. I will be keeping track of the classes you’ve done and what was covered to be sure that you haven’t missed anything before walking into the daily WOD.
What to expect in the CrossFit Basics – there will be a lot of time spent on all the different lifts (i.e. clean, deadlift, etc) we use in the daily WOD’s as well as some basic body weight movements such as squats, push ups and pull ups. The purpose of the Basics class, is to get you prepared for the regular class so that by the time you get there, you will know how to squat or do a shoulder press! Having said that, you will most defintely get time to WOD it out as well in the Basic’s class!
